Founded in 2020, Boutique Stays is a unique, adults-only Bed & Breakfast property and coffee shop. Your host Rachel prides the business on immaculate attention to detail, in everything from how we present and care for our rooms, to how we serve our delicious home-cooked breakfast.
You will find us friendly, accessible, and within easy reach of the wider Lake District. The artisan producers we have selected to work with, mean that we provide the very highest level of comfort to all our guests.
Directly opposite the market cross, you'll be instantly treated to a warm and friendly atmosphere inside, with perfect views of the goings-on in the historic Cartmel square. As an adults-only B&B, you can enjoy a relaxing stay no matter the season.
The property has been carefully restored for the enjoyment and comfort of our guests.
Whilst retaining the important original features and character, we have still been able to incorporate modern convenience.
Regardless if you are enjoying a freshly brewed coffee downstairs, or relaxing in one of our boutique rooms, you will have the same views across the square. Our property is directly opposite the market cross which was first established over 700 years ago when Cartmel was declared a market village.
We are 10 meters from the old priory gates, which were standing during, and survived the reign of King Henry VII, and we are ajoining the old gatehouse, which held ancient courts, was a grammar school and was recently renovated by Simon Rogan’s L’enclume restaurant.
