The beautiful village of Cartmel, famous for Sticky Toffee Pudding
and Simon Rogan’s two Michelin starred restaurants;
L’Enclume and Rogan & Company, also offers an abundance of other delights…
There's plenty to see in Cartmel, here's a few of our favourites; Unsworth's Yard which offers wine and cocktails from Cartmel Drinkshop and local ales from the brewery, Cartmel cheese shop and bakery (pizzas available March through to October), Food Market (3rd Friday every month), The Royal Oak, The Kings Arms, The Cavendish Arms, The Pig & Whistle and The Priory Hotel, several shops including Hales Fine Chocolates, The Larch Tree and Perfect English homewares, and not forgetting the medieval Cartmel Priory church and Cartmel Races!
Cartmel Village is easily accessible via the M6 and A590. With Kendal and the Southlakes to the North East and Ulverston plus the Furness Peninsula to the West, there’s lots to see and given the remote, rural setting, transport links are still reasonably accessible.
Boutique Stays at Cartmel Square is situated (as the name suggests), is situated in Cartmel Square, right in the heart of the village, close to both the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cartmel Racecourse, L’Enclume plus a range of great pubs.
